Ronhill Vizion Bobble Hat, RRP: £20 – 6/10
The terms ‘bobble hat’ and ‘running’ don’t usually go together. If neon bobbles are your thing, however, this is the one for you. It’s actually lighter than it looks and is a nice fit, but this type of thick hat is only necessary in really Arctic conditions. You’ll certainly stand out from the crowd in this,
but we’re a little unconvinced.

The Regulite fabric this is made from is a dream to wear and the fit is great.
It also has an added layer around the ears, which can bear the brunt of the harsh weather. There’s just one question: is putting an LED in your running hat really a bright idea? We’ll leave you to make that decision.

Gore Mythos Neon Beanie, RRP: £24.99 7/10
Tight fitting, highly visible and windproof, this hat has a number of selling points. It won’t win you any style awards, but it sure does its job well, delivering great protection from the cold. This is very much a ‘running only’ kind of hat – you might look a bit of a lemon – literally – wearing it elsewhere.

Asics Winter HeadbanD, RRP: £12.99 9/10
We were surprised at just how warm this actually keeps you. Softbrush fabric on the inside makes for a snug, comfy fit, while its neon yellow colour will keep you safe on the roads. Doubtless to say, the hi-vis yellow headband look won’t be to everyone’s tastes but we rate the ‘running raver’ look.

You’d be forgiven for thinking this is a swimming cap. Appearances aside, it’s actually pretty good, with Breath Thermo fabric in the ear zones for added warmth. The design also gives greater coverage of the ears – ideal
for those cold winter runs.
