Under Armour have released a pair of brand new base layers and digital writer, Tom Bristow, put them to the test.
Of the Armour, there is a short sleeve compression shirt and compression leggings.
Similar to its predecessor, it has all the same feels and comforts, so you won’t notice a whole lot of change.
It has a four way stretching ability, which means the base layer will manipulate in a way that best suits you.
An interesting change they have made to the design however, is that stitching does not come over the shoulder. It’s moved inward for a greater and smoother feel. There is no torsion on those main areas of movement now.
It also has anti-odour technology and sweat soaking ability.
I have worn this both as part of circuit training, and for a run; it is, quite simply, the best base layer I have ever worn.
The bright yellow leggings are a bit of a put off, but take nothing away from they achieve. Just go for either a grey t-shirt or black leggings like me.
In terms of comfort and performance, there is currently none better.
