Great Britain's Mo Farah has waded in with an uppercut after engaging in an argument on Twitter with

Mo Farah has said he will ‘continue to work’ with Alberto Salazar in a statement released today on the athlete’s Facebook page.

Salazar, who was levelled with serious doping allegations by BBC’s investigative TV show Panorama, published an open letter on Wednesday firmly denying any wrongdoing. Farah has now also spoken out.

He said: “As someone I’ve worked with for many years, I feel I have to believe in Alberto and the evidence he has provided. Based on that evidence, I will continue to work with him and hope now that I can focus on what I do best – training hard to win medals for my country.”

The double gold medal-winner also states that he asked Salazar to speak out, which as cited earlier, he did so in an open letter on Wednesday.

Panorama have always stated that they did not believe there was any malpractice on Farah’s part, and the British athlete will look to put this ordeal past him as he competes in the 5,000m at the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne on 9 July, before running in Monaco on 17 July.
