Winter Run entries are open now

The UK’s premier winter 10km running event, the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, is returning on Sunday February 2017 for a third consecutive year and with 2017 almost upon us, it comes as perfect motivation to shake off that Christmas hibernation and take good momentum into the New Year. Over 15,000 people have taken part in the sold-out event in both 2015 and 2016, and this year should be even bigger and better than ever.

The route is all on the closed roads of Central London and winds past many of its iconic landmarks, such as St Paul’s Cathedral and Somerset House, the event provides participants with one of the only opportunities to run through the nation’s capital past thousands of supporters. There’s more too! The event village and general hub is all in London’s magnificent Trafalgar Square; and the finish line is on Whitehall.

Unlike many specialised running events, the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run’s fast and flat route is perfect for novices and experienced runners alike. Many have found the course to be an ideal chance to secure a fast time before the marathon season, others use it as an opportunity to attempt their first ever event. Either way, every participant is treated to a unique winter-themed experience that includes a snow blast-off, polar bear hugs, a penguin party and unique snowflake medals.

Entries into the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run close on Tuesday January at 9am so make sure you submit your registration as soon as you can. Visit www.londonwinterrun.co.uk for more information and to enter.
