The Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is celebrating its tenth anniversary in October, and you could be there enjoying this extra special event in less than one hour’s flight time from a number of major UK airports.
This niche marathon, which is located just 14 miles from France, offers runners a scenic and varied course around the western half of the island. The event is hugely popular with locals and their generous support justifies its reputation as a friendly and welcoming marathon.
The event attracts hundreds of runners of all abilities from all over the world and the race itself consists of three race categories: Marathon, Relay Race and 3K Fun Run. Travelling marathon runners are often accompanied by friends, family and fellow club runners, many of whom opt to take on the competitive yet fun relay race while enjoying a weekend away.
