Demelza is a children’s hospice charity that cares for children and their families throughout the south east. By offering short breaks, emergency respite, end-of-life care and bereavement support, it helps families through these most difficult of times. There are fun times, too, and opportunities to create memories that will last forever – time to create a masterpiece with art therapists or to make music and sing with music therapists; an afternoon to take a dip in the hydrotherapy pool or to leap and play in the soft play room. Adding life to days when days cannot be added to life is Demelza’s ethos.
Demelza Hospice Care For Children has spaces available in the Brighton Marathon and simply asks for your commitment to raise a minimum of £500. If you already have a place and would like to run for them, they would love to hear from you. In return they will offer you a Demelza running vest, fundraising support and, of course, their thanks!
