Men’s Running takes on the Beer Mile Challenge

This year’s Beer Mile World Championships took place on December 3rd in Austin, Texas. The aim? Run a mile and down a beer every quarter.

In light of this, we sent Rick Pearson down to his local running track to give it a go.

The world record holder, James “The Beast” Nielsen, currently boasts an impressive time of 4:57:00, yes that’s four minutes.

Despite Rick not having much practice in the art of downing beer, or so he says, he managed a valiant time of eight minutes.
