Coconut water is well known for its hydration benefits and has quickly become a popular drink amongst runners.
Research suggests that the water contains strong anti-oxidant properties and can even provide potential cardiovascular benefits.
But if you are still not swayed towards the refreshing beverage then maybe organic company Buko’s new release might just convince you.
Buko Organic Coconut Water is set to hit the shelves in the UK this month and for every carton bought a square meter of rainforest is saved.
The brand has teamed up with an organisation called Cuipo, who work to preserve areas of primary rainforest in danger deforestation.
Their work takes place outside of already protected areas and includes acquiring all timber and mineral rights to prevent future mining and logging.
This means you are now able to contribute to the saving of trees while keeping naturally hydrated on the move.
The product also comes with a unique code, which enables you to find out the exact meter of rainforest that you have saved.
Buko are new to the coconut water sector but claim that their product comes with a naturally sweeter and fresher taste.
