Surrey Half Marathon March 2014 by SussexSportPhotography.com

Join Men’s Running’s Project 26.2 recruits as they take on the Surrey Half Marathon. The biggest closed-road half marathon in Surrey takes place on Sunday 8 March – and there are still a few places remaining.

Join 6,000 other runners for a scenic 21K loop, starting and finishing at Woking Leisure Centre. Twelve bands and four water stations along with route will keep runners motivated and hydrated. You’ll also benefit from chip-timing, a free mobile phone app and post-race nutrition provided courtesy of Bounce Energy Balls – great tasting, nutrient-dense snacks.SSP_SB_064122-1

Kids can participate, too, in a 2K closed-road run starting and finishing under the main race gantry. All finishers will receive a medal.

There are still places available for adult and child runners, so secure your position on the start grid today.

“There are now less than 50 days to go to the Surrey Half Marathon” announced Race Director Toby Jenkins. “Places at this great event are limited, so sign up and get training.”

If you have already registered to take part, take a look at the race’s Charity Partners: Woking Sam Beare, WWF, Harrison’s Fund and Shooting Star CHASE. All four charities offer runners great support during training and on race day.

Corporate entry
Inject a bit of friendly competition into your workplace by entering the Corporate Team Challenge. Enter as a team with your colleagues and you’ll be able to motivate each other during training and on race day.

Train together in your lunch break or after work and then enjoy the race as a team. There’s no limit to the number of team members, but a minimum of three finishers are required. Teams will be created on race day – the first three of any team across the finish line comprise the first team, and second three of any team across the line comprise the second team, etc. Scoring teams will be highlighted in a bespoke results table for all to see!
