Good Week: Tiffany Porter

Tiffany Porter has set a new British record in the 100m hurdles at the IAAF Continental Cup in Marrakech.

The 26-year-old clocked a time of 12.51 seconds to break Jessica Ennis-Hill’s previous mark of 12.54 achieved during the heptathlon at London 2012.

Bad Week: Paula Radcliffe

Paula Radcliffe’s 11-year-old course record at the Great North Run was tipped by just one second thanks to Kenya’s Mary Keitany who clocked a time of 65 mins, 39 seconds.

Stat of the week:

In 1970, 127 runners ran the NY marathon. In 1998, 32,000 did. This year’s race is to be held on 2nd November and the marathon’s world record holder, Wilson Kipsang, is set to make his debut at the event.
