Kenya wrapped up a Chicago Marathon double yesterday as Eliud Kipchoge and Rita Jeptoo won the men and women’s event respectively. Kipchoge recorded a time of 2:04:11 and Jeptoo – the defending champion – crossed the finish line in 2:24:35.

Bad Week:

In an unbelievable climax to the Berlin 10K, where a photo finish was needed to separate first from second, there was heartbreak for Emily Chebet of Kenya who lost out by a nose-width to compatriot Joyce Chepkirui. Both athletes were given the time of 31:02 but super-imposed cameras revealed that Chebet had missed out by millimetres.
