Stat of the week: 61 mins 12 secs: the time it took Dennis Kimetto to complete the second half of his world record breaking marathon race in Berlin.

Pledge of the week: Usain Bolt believes he can break his 100m and 200m world records. He said: “If I can get a perfect season where I’m working well, without any injuries, with no time off, I’ll definitely have the chance to break the 100m world record and run a sub-19 second time in the 200m.” (BBC Sport)
